Do you yearn to know more about the region we call home? Do you ever wish you could transcend the pretty pictures and tourist attractions and really “see” a country? Do you get excited whenever you discover aspects of a country that mirror your own or even those that are unexpectedly different and unique? If so, this is your space.
As a Jamaican, I adore our home region of the Caribbean where every single country has its own unique culture. Unfortunately, too often our countries are lumped together as a monolith, with little respect for the staggering cultural diversity. After personally experiencing the uniqueness of thirteen other Caribbean countries and territories, I think that’s a shame. These trips have also sparked an even greater desire to see and explore more of the region. So come with me as together we learn more about the cultural richness and diversity of our Caribbean heritage and celebrate, with pride, a place we are privileged to call home.
